Andy Warhol (/ˈwɔːrhɒl/; born Andrew Warhola; August 6, 1928 – February 22, 1987) was an American artist who was a leading figure in the visual art movement known as pop art. His works explore the relationship between artistic expression, celebrity culture, and advertisement that flourished by the 1960s.
After a successful career as a commercial illustrator, Warhol became a renowned and sometimes controversial artist. His art used many types of media, including hand drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, silk screening, sculpture, film, and music. His studio, The Factory, was a well known gathering place that brought together distinguished intellectuals, drag queens, playwrights, Bohemian street people, Hollywood celebrities, and wealthy patrons. He managed and produced The Velvet Underground, a rock band which had a strong influence on the evolution of punk rock music

Andy Warhol is in attendance of a Velvet Underground concert in the 1960s at the Factory. It is there where Richie Finestra meets Devon during a double date and he wants her to be introduced to famed artist.
Whispered Secrets Edit
To raise money for a fundraiser, Devon Finestra takes Andy Warhol's portrait of her to the artist's factory and asks him to sign it. While Devon sits for a screen test, Andy coaxes the truth out of her. Seeing how much the request pains her, Andy agrees to sign it and sweetly jokes that he could also sign her dress -- people will buy anything with his signature on it. When Devon presents the portrait to the fundraising group, but she's devastated when only Allison, her fundraising partner, recognizes her as its subject.
Richie and Ernst head to Max's Kansas City in search of Devon. When Andy Warhol and his entourage arrive, Richie accuses Andy of hiding Devon from him. He shoves Andy to the ground, and the bouncer tosses Richie into the street.
